How does GIDEON collect its data?

Learn how GIDEON collects its robust infectious disease data.

The data in GIDEON is accessed and collated through a system of computer macros and dedicated source lists, developed over the past 25 years.

A daily search of PubMed is conducted against a listing of all GIDEON keywords, and titles/abstracts of interest are reviewed by a team of highly regarded medical scientists.

All available National Health Ministry publications (print and electronic) are scanned, as are standard publications of WHO and CDC. Relevant peer-reviewed publications (Infectious Diseases, Microbiology, Antimicrobial Agents, Tropical Medicine, etc) are continually examined for relevant articles. A partial list of resources appears here.
